Once famous for spicy namkins and dying and printing industry has lost its flavour and colour . with immense potential for tourism, farrukhabad a beautiful small city situated on the banks of river ganga with famous pilgrimage places such as sankisa and kampil lacks political will to develop such places into famous tourist destinations . annual magh mela of ramnagaria is about to start but ganga ghats are waiting for development work since many years.
unemployment is the basic problem of farrukhabad. youngsters are worried about their future because they don't have any job in farrukhabad. textile park is yet to come in existance to revive the dying and printing industry. it can provide jobs to thousands of youngsters. large amount of fruits and vegetables are destroyed because we don't have any food processing industry . farmers could get huge benefits if we have food processing industry in farrukhabad.
farrukhabad lacks connectivity with other parts of the country. declaration of bareily etawa highway into national highway will improve connectivity. electrification of railway line is also important. ganga expressway will reduce distance between delhi and farrukhabad. it will immensely improve the condition of farrukhabad and its people.
